Narooma Oyster Festival – May
The inaugural Narooma Oyster Festival was held in May 2008 and has been growing with each year. Our delicious Narooma Oysters are of course on the menu as are many other oysters from the pristine waters of Australia’s Oyster Coast. It’s not all oysters though with cook offs, celebrity chefs, kids rides, craft and food stores and more on the program? So come and experience Narooma ‘make it, bake it, grow it’. Thanks to Warren Purnell and the Narooma News for supplying the Narooma Oyster Festival photos for this web page.
Tilba Easter Festival – Easter
Heading to Tilba is like stepping back in time and never more so when you happen upon the town during the Tilba Easter Festival. With town criers, blacksmiths, roaming performers and more you will be sure to have a wonderful day.
Boats afloat – November
The Boats Afloat festival began in 2006 with a few like-minded people who had a passion for wooden boats and wanted to share it. The festival has come a long way since then and whilst it has grown it has retained that atmosphere of mates getting together for a weekend of boating and celebrating, which makes it so much more special. Even if you don’t have a boat it is great to get amongst it and see all these beautifully crafted vessels taking to the water.
Southeast Harvest Festival – November
If you love delicious food that goes from the garden to the plate then the Southeast Harvest Festival is for you. Run by SAGE, it is a community event to rejoice and share the seasonal harvest. It aims to bring people back to the origins of good healthy food, and educate the community that sustainable food production is both essential and rewarding. Meet growers and pick up some cooking tips along the way.
